The state of Missouri has many electric power stations and many different types of energy sources. The top ten power producing plants in Missouri are : Labadie, Iatian, Rush Island, New Madrid, Callaway, Thomas Hill, Sioux, Hawthorn, Meramec, Dogwood. All of these ten are coal as a primary energy source, with the exception of Dogwood (Natural Gas) and Callaway (Nuclear). [1]

In addition Missouri has Bagnell Dam hydroelectric and Taum Sauk water pumping/hydroelectric power plants.
