No Other Name is the 23rd worship album by Hillsong Live expected to be released on 1 July 2014.[1] It will include new songs such as "No Other Name", "This I Believe (Creed)", "Calvary", "Heaven and Earth", "My Story", "Broken Vessels", "All Things New" and "Thank You Jesus". This album is named after the 2014 Hillsong Conference.

The recording team includes Joel Houston, Marty Sampson, Ben Fielding, Taya Smith, Reuben Morgan, Simon Kobler, Joel Hingston, Harrison Wood, David Ware, Jad Gillies, Matt Crocker and Ben Whincop, among others.[2]

History

On 23 February, Hillsong ILC posted a picture announcing the beginning of the recording of the new album, and also announced the release date, July 2014, during the Hillsong Conference 2014 "No Other Name".[3]

On 28 February, Hillsong LIVE announced through Facebook that they were working on their new album with the new songs that they had been singing through the last weeks of February, and some of those songs included "Calvary" and "This I Believe (Creed)".[4][5]

On 31 March, Hillsong LIVE posted a photo on Facebook, showing that their creative team were working on the album cover, but not revealed it at all, and did not give information about the release date.[6]

On 3 April, Hillsong Live released the album's first single, a song titled "Calvary" as an Easter single, but was released only in an acoustic pre-release version.[7]

On 23 April, Cass Langton of Hillsong Church, posted a blog on Hillsong Collected, in which she talks about the new recording, announcing that Michael Chislett was producing the album. Also announced was Ben Field (TV Director) working on the lyric videos & worship resources. Jay Argaet shot the new album cover on 23 April in Times Square, NYC.[8]

On 5 May, Hillsong LIVE revealed the album name by posting the cover artwork of the album, which is a picture Times Square screens showing their conference announcement "No Other Name".[9][10][11]

Recording

The album recording started on February, on their Sunday services and Colour Conference too, and the live DVD will be recorded by at the Allphones Arena on Hillsong Conference 2014.[3][8][8]

Singles

"Calvary" was the first single and was released on 3 April[7] on their website. The band posted "This Easter we wanted to bless people with a song from our upcoming album that has blessed our church so much!"[12] and the song was made available for free download, in an acoustic pre-release Version, sung by Reuben Morgan.
