¡Tango! was a 1933 Argentine musical romance film, the first sound film to be made in Argentina.

Production

The 80-minute black and white film was directed by Luis Moglia Barth for Argentina Sono Film. Barth and Carlos de la Pua were the writers. The film starred Libertad Lamarque, Pepe Arias andTita Merello. It was released in Argentina on 27 April 1933.[1]

Synopsis

A poor woman is caught between a dishonest man and a tango singer. She runs away with the dishonest man, despite knowing she has made the wrong choice. The tango singer accepts work in Paris, in the hope that the woman will be there and he will find her.
