Chirumamilla (Template:Lang-te), is a village in Guntur district, in Andhra Pradesh state, India.

The village is the home of several notable political leaders, including Kasu Brahmananda Reddy, who was credited with creating the industrial infrastructure in and around Hyderabad and former chief minister of Andhra Pradesh.

In this village DODDA BALAKOTI REDDY, M.Jagannatha Reddy and Mr.N.Rami Reddy are the famous persanalities. MR Balakoti is elected as Member of the Legislative Assembly (India) (MLA) from Sattenapalle Constituency in 1989.

MR M.Jagannatha Reddy is a famous local Leader.

MR Rami Reddy is popular as a business man.The Golkonda Hotel was founded and started by Mr.N.Rami Reddy in the year 1990 and registered in the name of Golkonda Hospitality Services and Resorts Ltd. Mr. Reddy is also the Chief promoter of Vindhya developers and Builders private limited.

This village contains around 3000 families, Reddy community is dominated in population.

Economy

The main resource of this village is cultivation. This village has the biggest area under rice cultivation, as it is one of the principal food crops. Rice is the major food grain here, and it is in fact the dominant crop of the village. Rice is the basic food crop and being a tropical plant, it flourishes comfortably in hot and humid climate. Rice is mainly grown in rain fed areas that receive heavy annual rainfall. That is why it is fundamentally a kharif crop in India. It demands temperature of around 25 degree Celsius and above and rainfall of more than 100 cm. Rice is also grown through irrigation in those areas that receives comparatively less rainfall.

Culture

The Sree Seetha Ramachandra Swamy shrine at Chirumamilla, the most famous temple in this mandal dedicated to Lord Rama. It is one of the greatest holy shrines in this mandalam with a very rich and unique historical background. The Temple was constructed in the 20th Century by the local business man Late Kolisetty Hanumayya known as anivisetty who is grand father of Kota Venkateswarlu a fervent devotee of Lord Sree Rama.
