Bio: Katie, born 4/1989, US citizen, speaker of English and moderate fluency in Spanish, BA in public health, certified Child Passenger Safety Technician (CPST).

Areas of interest include: Injury prevention, particularly child passenger safety, history (all areas but particular interest in human rights issues, including the Holocaust, Holodomor, Aktion T4, medical, criminal and psychological institutionalization, and "Los Desaparecidos" of Argentina and Chile), child welfare, orphanages, mental health, endometriosis and infertility, cats, certain popular culture topics (such as fanfiction, specific television shows, books and movies, fan conventions and certain public figures and fictional characters), arts and crafts, child development, geography and culture (particularly as related to Jewish peoples, Hispanic, German, and Eastern European populations).
