Jon Steinbrecher is the current commissioner of the Mid-American Conference (MAC) of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I collegiate athletic conference. He has held the position since 2009. He was previously the commissioner of the Ohio Valley Conference.[1] He announced the Univeristy of Massachussets will no longer be a member of the Mid-American Conference after the 2015 season.[2]

Personal life

Steinbrecher graduated from Valparaiso University with a bachelor's degree in physical education and journalism. He earned a master's degree in sports administration for Ohio University.[3]
