Ervin Zukanović (born 11 February 1987) is a Bosnian footballer who plays as a centre back for Chievo in the Italian Serie A.[1] In the 2005-06-season, he started his career as a professional player for Bosnian club Željezničar Sarajevo. One year afterwards, he transferred to Austria Lustenau.

Zukanović came into the spotlight of several teams. Excelsior Moeskroen was interested, but finally, FCV Dender transferred him to the Belgian First Division during winter break.

In 2011, Zukanović signed for Belgium club KV Kortrijk. Together with Baptiste Martin, he constituted a solid duo in central defense.

Zukanović was linked to RSC Anderlecht, Club Brugge, PSV and Borussia Mönchengladbach.[2]

In the season 2012-13, Zukanović left during the winter transfer period. He left Kortrijk for Gent.[3]
