Bonthapally is a village in Jinnaram mandal of Medak District in the state of Andhra Pradesh in India. Bonthapally is about 40 km from the city of Hyderabad.

Geography

It is located at 17°39′45″N 78°22′0″E / 17.66250°N 78.36667°E / 17.66250; 78.36667.[1]

Bonthapally Temple

This village is famous for the temple of Sri Bhadrakali Sametha Veerabhadra Swamy. Many devotees from Hyderabad and different parts of the Medak district visit this temple in large numbers. Mostly Lingayats, (veerashaiva)(Balija and jangamas) and Arya Vysyas visit this temple. Buses are available from Secunderabad, Patancheru, Balanagar etc. to this temple.

Many people visit during the month of Sravanam (mostly comes during August) and on Mondays to this temple. There are also temples of Anjaneya Swamy, Ayyappa Swamy, and Shiva Temple in this village. Many industries are located in this village like Neuland Laboratories.
