Sonia Vihar ⓘ is located to the north-east of Delhi near Wazirabad on the bank of the river Yamuna. It is situated at a distance of about 26 km from the Indira Gandhi International Airport and about 13 km from the New Delhi railway station.The Purani Delhi Railway Junction is only 10 km far from this. It is a semi-urban area which comes under Karawal Nagar assembly area.Sonia Vihar is divided into Blocks and Pusta's Like A,B,C,D,E,F Block and 1st,2nd,3rd,4th and 5th Pusta. Sonia Vihar is thickly populated. Merchants, workers, and clerks live in this area.
The population of Sonia Vihar is around 700,000, the population consist from all over the India.It is an Old city of Delhi. .It is one of the most beautiful and Populer area in North-East Delhi.
Transportation
City buses, scooters, cars (taxis) are found here. Sonia Vihar road is the busiest road which connects North East Delhi to Tronica City,Ghaziabad,U.P . In the night they have proper lightning systems. Delhi Transport Corporation and Delhi Cluster Buses provide bus services to Sonia Vihar from Mori Gate 258, New Delhi 258A and from NOIDA 33A(which is a rarity) are the bus routes to Sonia Vihar. There are plans to include this place to the Delhi Metro in 2022 Railway network.

It is a beautiful Area near Yamuna. It has many good schools.Elite International School and Bhartiya Vidya Public School are the important Educational centres. Shyam Vatika,Bikaner Sweets and Hanuman Mandir are the popular places in Sonia Vihar.There are many beautiful parks in Sonia Vihar on each Pusta.
It has many nice Places and Temples to Visit.A Water Treatment Plant is present in Sonia Vihar. The market of "Third(3rd) Pusta" is the most popular market in this city and the most popular market in this area. Wazirabad Bridge is the connecting bridge between North Delhi and Yamuna Par. Annapurna Temple is an important temple in Sonia Vihar. Only one Bank in this area is Indian Bank which is on First Pusta. Chath Pooja is one of the major festivals celebrated near the Yamuna bank of Sonia Vihar.
