Henderson Lake is a lake in the Adirondacks in the town of Newcomb, Essex County, New York in the United States. It was named in 1826 after David Henderson, one of the founders of the Elba Iron Works near Lake Placid,[1] and of the Upper Works at Tahawus.[2] The primary outflow is the Indian Pass Brook [3], which approximately 1/4 mile downstream joins Calamity Brook to form the official origin of the Hudson River[4]
