The Clash Chronology
The Clash
(1977)
Give 'Em Enough Rope
(1978)

The Clash is the first full-length recording released by the English punk band The Clash.

The UK release is on CBS Records, 1977, produced by Micky Foote, The Clash, Lee Perry, and The Clash & Bill Price. The US release is also on CBS, 1979, with the same personnel. This first album by the Clash was unusually varied for a punk band, with reggae and dub influences setting the stage for what would be elaborated on with future albums. The difference between the UK and USA releases is significant.
