London Buses route 487 is a Transport for London contracted bus route in London, England. Running between Willesden Junction and South Harrow stations, it is operated by Metroline.
History
Route 487 commenced operating on 4 September 1999 between Willesden Junction and South Harrow via Park Royal, Alberton and Sudbury Hill replacing part of route 187. It was operated by London Traveller.
The route was included in the 1 November 2002 sale of the business to Thorpes.[1]
Upon being re-tendered, route 487 passed to First London's Alperton garage on 6 March 2004.[2] It was reallocated to Willesden Junction on 28 June 2008. First London successfully tendered to retain the route, with a new contract commencing on 7 March 2009.[3]
On 22 June 2013, route 487 was included in the sale of First London's Willesden Junction garage to Metroline.[4][5][6]
