Fly Jamaica Airways is an airline based in Kingston, Jamaica at the Norman Manley International Airport. The airline is the newest airline in Jamaica .

History

Fly Jamaica Airways was certified by the Jamaica Civil Aviation Authority (JCAA) in September 2012, and was cleared to operate in the United States by US authorities in December.[1] Its inaugural flight from Kingston to New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport in the United States, was made on 14 February 2013.[2]

This is the CEO's message regarding Fly Jamaica's Fleet (as of 22 June 2014):


Welcome to Fly Jamaica Airways.

On June 22nd 2014, we successfully ferried our B767-300ER aircraft into Kingston, Jamaica. Our B767-300ER is a 100% increase in our fleet size, joining our B757-200ER to provide a reliable transportation product to all our customers.

We thank all our dedicated staff and all our loyal customers for helping to make Fly Jamaica Airways the airline of choice among many air travellers.

We hope to increase our flight operations to John F. Kennedy International, New York, USA, to a daily service. We are currently operating seven days per week from KIN to JFK, NY, USA, Toronto, Canada (YYZ) and Georgetown, Guyana (GEO).

Our new route structure is geared to provide easy access from Kingston, Jamaica (KIN) to Georgetown, Guyana (GEO) (Approximately Three hours flying time) and hopefully provide increased tourism and trade between the two Caricom countries. The route structure offers the Jamaicans, Canadians, New Yorkers and Guyanese non-stop direct air travel between JFK, New York, Toronto, Jamaica and Georgetown, Guyana and vice versa.
