Luke Berry (born 12 July 1992) is an English footballer who plays for Barnsley as a central midfielder.

Career

Cambridge United

Born in Bassingbourn, near Cambridge, Berry joined Cambridge United's youth setup before making the step up to the first team squad in July 2009.[1]

Barnsley

Despite Cambridge's promotion, and signing a new contract with the club, Berry left to join Barnsley just days before his home town club's return to League Two.[2] The move to Barnsley was seen as a step up, given their traditional larger support and their place in the higher League One.

Berry signed a three year deal with The Tykes,[2] and made his He made his Football League debut in their opening day loss at home to Crawley, playing 77 minutes before being replaced by forward Nana Boakye-Yiadom.[3]
