Webster's former brother-in-law Peter Morris, his estranged wife Felicity Drumm, Charlie Henry, the police office who had lead the investigation against him and Simone Banajee (his former fiancee) all contributed to the production. Malcolm Webster was not approached (although his solicitor was informed that the film was being made)[1]. Banajee complimented Shearsmith's performance and described the production as "99% accurate"[2]. Drumm has declined to comment on the series [3]. She is said to have been reluctant to take part in the project, but felt obligated due to being financially destitute. (the widower book, location 2646) Morris was reported as being impressed by both the performances of Shearsmith and Smith[1].

"Sheridan captured Claire completely. I miss that camaraderie of a sibling and I thank Sheridan for giving that back to me for a while."
