Apologies

I am sorry for my actions on the FAC of Gemini. Because I am not a co-nominator of the article (despite wishing that I had been one), I thought I am allowed to post comments. Also, I edited much of the article not for the fun of it, but because Sriram was absent for one month, which would have failed the FAC again. While I see that GANs can only be reviewed by "anyone who has not contributed significantly to" the article, I believe FACs can be reviewed by anyone. Is there a rule prohibiting it? With that argument, an editor reviewing an FAC should have made not a single edit to the article. Pls. enlighten me. -- Sriram speak up 14:05, 4 July 2014 (UTC)
@Kailash29792: My bad! All editors can review FACs per the instructions given here. Further, it says "If you were a major contributor to the article, please note that when you support". I thought it was an unwritten rule for FACs that major contributors shouldn't support the nomination as in the case of GAN. @Sriram Vikram: Thanks for enlightening this fogey! Happens. And, thanks for your wishes. Btw, Krimuk90 pointed out that the prose requires more polishing and I find myself nodding in acceptance. Since you were successful in your first attempt with FAC, can you spare a little time and help me better the prose quality? I ain't so fluent in English and my vocabulary is rather limited. Thanks for the request, but I should admit that I'm not really comfortable working on film articles. Even during the Trichy FAC there were some minor objections about the quality of prose not being "professional". Luckily I got an editor who did a great job. WikiProject Good articles Future GAN Backlog Drive

Hello everyone! Hope you've all been having a great summer!

TheQ Editor recently proposed the idea of having another Backlog Drive in either September/October or November/December of this year. For those of you who have participated in the past two drives you know I was the one who organized them, however, come September, this will be my most important year in school so I will not be able to coordinate this drive (if it happens). TheQ Editor has volunteered to be a coordinator for the drive. If any of you would like to co-coordinator, please notify TheQ Editor on his talk page.

If you would be interested in participating in a Backlog Drive sometime before the end of this year, please notify TheQ Editor. Also, make sure to specify what month(s) work best for you.

At the time this message was sent out, the backlog was at 520 nominations. Since May, the backlog has been steadily increasing and we are currently near an all time high. Even though the backlog will not disappear over one drive, this drive can lead to several others which will (hopefully) lead to the day where there is no longer a backlog.

As always, the more participants, the better, and everyone is encouraged to participate!

I don't think it's necessary. Having a table only to include year and name would be meaningless. Besides this, we don't know the exact chronological order of his old Malayalam films. —Vensatry (ping) 18:00, 15 August 2014 (UTC)
