Mohammadd Mamunul Islam (born 12 December 1988) is a Bangladeshi international footballer who plays as a midfielder for Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club and the Bangladesh national football team. He is also captain of the Bangladesh national team.

Indian Super League

Mamunul is going to play in the first season of Indian Super League, which will start from October 2014. It is a franchise based league. He is going to play for Atlético de Kolkata. One of the team's owner is Spanish club Atlético de Madrid. Mamunul impressed Indian football fans in 2014 IFA Shield, many Indian clubs wanted to buy him. Mamunul is going to the club for 3 months loan from Sheikh Jamal. Another owner of the club is former Indian cricketer Saurav Ganguly, who wanted a Bengali player in his team. Mamunul is going to play as a midfielder and a forward.
