Griswold High School is the only public education institute in Griswold, Connecticut. Surrounding towns (Lisbon, Canterbury and Voluntown) have the opportunity to send their students that attended their secondary schools to Griswold. These towns may also send their students to Norwich Free Academy, Ella T. Grasso Technical High School, Ellis Technical High School, Norwich Technical High School, and Saint Bernard's.

Campus

The campus includes an auditorium, gymnasium, and specialized areas for music, technology, and construction. It has a lighted football field and track, softball and baseball fields, tennis courts, and numerous soccer fields and walking trails. There are a staffed library and media centers. The high school also now has NEASC accreditation, along with several honors and AP programs. Griswold has many sports teams and an award-winning music program.

Music and Arts

Griswold High School has a very expansive music and arts program in which many of its students participate. It has a pep band for football and basketball, a concert band, a general choir, a concert choir (which is an auditioned group), a chamber choir (also an auditioned group), a string orchestra, and a steel drum band. The school has won numerous awards for its music program, especially through its annual music trip to play in competitions across North America. Students who are enrolled in the concert band, orchestra, and chamber choir have the opportunities to audition for regional music festivals on the state level.

The arts program is also quite expansive, with an annual drama production in the late fall and a musical production in the spring.
