The first autobiography written by Leonard Nimoy. Many fans and critics hated it due to the belief that Nimoy was attempting to distance himself from the character and the franchise that brought him his fame. In 1995, Nimoy wrote a second autobiography entitled I Am Spock. It was made fun of on the Simpsons when Comic Book Guy bought his three autobiographies I am Not Spock, I Am Spock and I Am Also Scotty.
