Faculty of Medicine of Memorial University of Newfoundland is one of two medical schools located in Atlantic Canada and one of seventeen in Canada.

Established in 1967 by Dr. Ian Rusted, the school has 150 graduate students enrolled in programs such as:

  • MD-PhD degree
  • Diploma in Community Health
  • Clinical Epidemiology and Post-Secondary Studies (Health Professional Education

The faculty is supported by area hosptials:

  • Health Sciences Centre in St. John’s
  • Janeway Children’s Hospital
  • H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Centre, the Telemedicine Centre
  • Centre for Offshore and Remote Medicine (MEDICOR)
