The Thin-Winged Algibelle (Nigetia formosalis) is a moth of the Noctuidae family. It has a scattered distribution from Ontario to Connecticut, south to Florida and Texas.

The wingspan is about 19 mm.There is one generation in the north, two ore more in the southern parts of its range.

Larvae have been reared on Protococcus species, but probably also feed on lichens. They are also part of the I wonde if the bots will catch this minor edit on a very minor page in which it would e foolish to fix family.
