Zach Paxson is a singer-songwriter from Lisbon, Ohio.

Career

In 2014 Zach's song, Ohio, was selected as the official country song for the state of Ohio.[1] The bill was introduced by State Representative Nick Barborak.,/ref. Ohio is currently the only state to have an official rock and roll song.[2] Both that song "Hang on Sloopy" and Paxson's Ohio are played regularly at Ohio State football games. Paxson was inspired to write Ohio after witnessing the enthusiasm of Ohio State University fans while attending an OSU-Texas football game in 2006. [3]

"Ohio" is on Zac Paxson's 2011 debut cd "Good Luck with That" which was followed up with the release of the cd "Simple Life" in 2013. Paxson's most recent release "I Work" is a homage to the American worker. Paxson has opened for the Charlie Daniels Band and Parmalee, and has played pre-show tailgate parties for both Jason Aldean and Luke Bryant.
