The Australia–China Free Trade Agreement is a proposed bilateral Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between the governments of Australia and China. The first round of negotiations began on May 23, 2005[1] after a joint feasibility study. Since then 21[2] negotiating rounds have been completed. It is expected that the FTA will be signed in November of 2014.[3][4][5]

Provisions

While the negotiation details are not yet public, media reports have stated that the agreement will cover tariff reductions, trade in services, as well as investor protections.[6]
