Andrew Dallmeyer was born on January 10, 1945 in St Boswells, Eildon Hills, Scotland.[1] He is an actor,director and writer, Known for Eliza Graves where he is cast alongside Sir Ben Kingsley and Sir Michael Cain, Ich Und Kaminski(2014) and Advocates I (1991).[2][3]
Early life
Born in 1945 Andrew spent most of his childhood in Aberlady, East Lothian.[4]Andrew learnt Drama at Webber Douglas Drama School, London. Later he appeared at the National Theatre, Royal Court and Bristol Old Vic.[5] Andrew as an actor, has appeared at every theatre in Scotland with (the exception of Pitlochry) as well as performing in London at the Royal National Theatre and the Royal Court. He became associate director of Liverpool Playhouse at the age of 26 and subsequently directed many productions at the Traverse Theatre, Edinburgh, Sheffield Crucible , Dundee Rep , Leeds Playhouse and many more.[6] As a writer, Andrew has written seventy nine plays, won three Fringe firsts click here and a B.A.F.T.A.His one-man show "Hello Dali" has received some twenty productions worldwide and "The Opium Eater" has been published by Capercaillie Books.[7][8] His performance of Tartuffe was reviewed as, “touched by genius”.[9]
