The 2003-04 Utah Jazz season was the team's 30th in the NBA. They began the season hoping to improve upon their 47–35 output from the previous season. They came up five games shy of tying it, finishing 42–40, and failing to qualify for the playoffs for the first time in twenty-one seasons.[1] However, their 42–40 record was their nineteenth consecutive winning season, which remains by three the all-time National Basketball Association record.[2]
