Jenny of the Prairie was a computer game published by Addison-Wesley in 1984, developed by Rhiannon Software, and which ran on the Apple IIe. It was one of the first games featuring female character as the main protagonist.[1]
Plot
Jenny was left behind by her family, lost in the prairie. Players needed to keep her safe, fed and watered as she prepared herself for the coming winter. She could chop wood for a fire, pick flowers, pick wheat, fish, hunt rabbits for food and for fur to keep warm. She could also attempt to tame a fox. She needed to run from the mountain lion and rattlesnake. If they got to Jenny it was game over.
