Scraps (batter)

Scraps is a term used in England which refers to left over batter that has been deep-fried and is served as an accompaniment to chips,^[1] They are traditionally served free of charge with chips in fish and chip shops.^[2] In some parts of the North, they are referred to as 'bits'^[3] or 'batter'.
