Pantoea is a genus of Gram-negative bacteria of the family Enterobacteriaceae, recently separated from the Enterobacter genus. Pantoea bacteria ferment lactose, are motile, and form mucoid colonies. [1] This genus includes eight species and two sub-species. Besides that, some of the species show quorum sensing ability that could drive different gene expression hence controlling certain physiological activities [2]
