The International Journal of Maritime History is an academic journal that focuses on the maritime aspect of history. It carries both original research and review articles.

It was established in 1989 and was based at Memorial University of Newfoundland and published in conjunction with the International Maritime Economic History Association. Since 2013/14 it has been based at the University of Hull Maritime Historical Studies Centre Blaydes House and published by Sage Publications.

It also publishes monographs titled Research in Maritime History.

The current Editor-in-Chief is David Starkey (maritime historian)
