Smt. Vinatadevi Tope Social Service League (informally abbreviated as SSL) is one of the most prestigious student committees of Government Law College, Mumbai. The league was initiated in 1967 by then Principal Dr. Trimbak Krishna Tope, in the fond memory of his late wife, Smt. Vinatadevi Tope.

Rooted in the pursuit of social justice, the strategies of the league are oriented towards making lives better. This is primarily achieved by tie-ups and associations with the government as well as non-profit organizations, apart from several initiatives individually taken up by the league members. In addition to its flagship events Shikhar (An exhibition by NGOs) and Udaan (An Inter NGO Competition for Children), the league undertakes several projects such as tree plantation drives, clean up drives, blood and organ donation camps, etc. on an annual basis[1][2]
