Gabber

that was a bit of a coincidence, I wasn't aware of recent discussion on this, spotted someone had redirected Gabber by chance. To be honest I'm not even sure there should be three separate articles called Gabber, Hardcore (electronic dance music), and Mainstream hardcore, and the latter states that "hardcore" grew out of gabber, but it's arguably the other way around - usable source on that here ("Living Through Pop" p.151). Sourcing is poor for both the "Gabber" and "Mainstream hardcore" article (essentially the same topic). My preference is for a single "Hardcore" article. I would think that nowadays hardcore and gabber might have different enough connotations for them to have separate articles, though not sure about available sources for the more recent developments in these styles. From the sources I can find on google books it seems that gabber and hardcore were used interchangeably in some circles in the 90s, so perhaps that article that suggests hardcore came out of gabber is actually trying to say "the second wave of gabber came out of gabber" which is pretty obvious anyway. – filelakeshoe (t / c) 07:47, 27 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

ARG-HOL semi-final article

Hi, I noticed that you removed the wikilink that I added in the related to the article about the semi-final soon to happen between Argentina and Netherlands. In the 1st version of that article (already created) I explained why is notable. You shouldn't speedy delete it but seek for consensus, unless I'm missing something? PopMatters

Hello, could you be of help in getting a bot installed on the PopMatters Wikipedia page, so the Alexa ranking for their site (it is an online magazine) is automatically updated each month? I've read that such a bot exists on Wikipedia. But I've no idea how to install it on the PopMatters page. Can you help? So far I've just been updating it manually every few months. Thanks.

Trap Music

Hello Filelakeshoe,

I have been helping UKBassHead make his case to have 'Dubstep' added to the Stylistic Origins section of the Trap page. Would you be interested in joining the discussion?

I also viewed your post on separate pages for 'EDM Trap' and 'Trap'. I think the points raised by UKBassHead would indicate perhaps there is a case for this separation.

Electronica

Would you like to join the discussion on "Electronica" I have started on the House Music talk page? This has been inserted several times in the "Sylistic Origins" section of the page until I'm not sure that it shouldn't actually be there. It would be good to define exactly what "Electronica" is - does it only apply to modern electronic music? Or across the decades as a "catch-all" term?
