Ulan Istanbul, is a 2014 Turkish drama TV series. It first aired on 23 June, 2014, on Kanal D.
Plot
The TV series portray a group of con artists, disguised as a rooted Istanbul family, the "Nevizade"s. Firuz (portrayed by Emre Kınay) loses one million liras in a con, and blames Derya's (portrayed by Sevtap Özaltun) father, Kaptan for his loss. As a result, Kaptan gets imprisoned. Kandemir (portrayed by Uğur Polat) and his gang organizes cons on "bad" people to collect the amount to free Kaptan. The gang moves into a historical street of Istanbul, introduces themselves as a family. Kandemir's sons are Karlos (portrayed by Erkan Kolçak Köstendil), Ferdi (portrayed by Kaan Yıldırım) and Bahadır (portrayed by Caner Özyurtlu), and his girls are Yaren (portrayed by Şebnem Bozoklu) and Derya. Karlos and Yaren are aspiring singers, occasionally sing in special events. Ferdi dreams of his own fish restaurant, and Derya wants to live a normal life with his father.
The family has very close relationships with the street people. Derya gets engaged to Ceyhun, who lives with his mother Şehriban and his cousin Maşuka. Their neighbor Hayati has an obsession about the Nevizade family and their rumored buried golds, which keeps him interested in the family's actions.
After 29th episode, the gang manages to collect one million liras, and frees the Kaptan. However, Firuz records evidences for one of the family's cons and blackmails the family to work for him. The gang agrees unwillingly and continues on cons.
