The campaign has been concentrated to fulfill the purpose of job creation, enforcement to secondary and tertiary sector[clarification needed], boosting the national economy, converting India to a self-reliant country and to give the Indian economy global recognition. The 'Make in India' also attempts to enforce the inflow of FDI[clarification needed] in the country and improve services by partial privatization of loss-making[clarification needed] government firms. The campaign is completely under control of the Central Government of India. [1][2][3]

Siphoning billions of dollars

Economic Drain Theory of Dadabhai Naoroji and Capital Flight theory [8]

There are enough evidences of siphoning billions of dollars from developing countries to other developed countries through MNCs .BBC Radio 4's File on 4 has learned that almost £100bn a year is taken out of Africa through accounting practices - several times what the continent receives in aid. [9] The Ghanian development economist Charles Abugre said this capital flight amounted to "the looting of the continent(Africa)". Developing countries receive about $136 billion in aid from donor countries each year. At the same time, however, they lose about $1 trillion each year through offshore capital flight, mostly in the form of tax avoidance by multinational corporations. That’s nearly 10 times the size of the aid budget. [10] Siphoning billions of dollars is the modern form of economic drain theory of Dadabhai Naoroji [11]

Setting higher prices

Corporates can maintain setting prices at high levels while still competing to cut costs, advertise, and market their products. The actual and potential economic surplus generated exceeds the existing outlets for investment and capitalist consumption. Private accumulation therefore requires the support of government spending geared primarily towards imperialistic and militaristic government tendencies, which is the easiest and surest way to utilize surplus productive capacity.
