Ricky Donell Minard Jr. (born September 11, 1982) is an American professional basketball player currently playing for SPO Rouen Basket of the LNB Pro A. He is Morehead State's career scoring leader. He is affectionately known to fans abroad as "Ricky Bobby"[1]
Professional career
He was selected by the Sacramento Kings in the 2nd round (48th overall) of the 2004 NBA Draft. A 6'4" guard from Morehead State University, Minard was signed by the Kings in July 2004, but they have waived him in November the same year, and so far he has never appeared in an NBA game.[1]
He has played professionally in Italy for Lauretana Biella (2004–2005), Bipop Carire Reggio Emilia (2005–2007), Premiata Montegranaro (2007–2009), Lottomatica Roma (2009–2010), Novipiu Casale (2012) and Virtus Bologna (2012-2013). In March 2010 he started playing in Russia for BC Khimki Moscow Region (2010) and UNICS Kazan (2010–11). He also played in Ukraine for Azovmash Mariupol (2011-2012). In July 2013, Minard signed with Budivelnyk Kyiv.[2]
On January 18, 2015, he signed with French team SPO Rouen Basket.[3]
