John Sutton Vth, (b 1380, [Coleshill, Warwick] d1406) he married to Constance the daughter of Walter Blount, by Sancha de Ayala the daughter of Diego Gomez de Toledo, Mayor of that town.


John was to become the father of the first lord Dudley, also named John.

John Sutton Vth's father was the John Sutton born in 1361 and who died 1395, of Dudley Castle whom wed to an Alice de Spencer of Carlington.

It is widely held that this Sutton (b.1339 d. 1370) was the son of John Sutton and Catherine de Stafford b. 1340 d.1361). Catherine being the daughter of Ralph de Stafford and Margaret de Audley.
