Getrag 238 manual transmission option

Some 3rd generation Rams were offered with the same Getrag 238 manual transmission package as was offered in the Dakota, when equipped with the 3.7L V6 and / or 4.7L V8 engines. These transmissions replaced the NV3500 when the GM / Chrysler joint venture called 'New Venture Gear' ended. Applicable model years are 2005-2006. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.46.22.101 (talk) 12:52, 2 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

As is detailed in the Ram Trucks article, Chrysler no longer uses the Dodge brand for Ram trucks. It's created a new make called Ram Trucks, which includes the Ram trucks (1500, 2500 and 3500, as described in this article), two vans and a chassis cab truck.

This article is about the Ram line of pickup trucks, so I believe it should be moved to Ram (automobile). Thoughts? Objections? Jesuschex (talk) 18:57, 14 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Agree

It only makes sense to move the article since the title of the article no longer corresponds with the name of the vehicle.Num1dgen (talk) 18:53, 17 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Disagree - the Dodge Ram was used for a lot longer.  Mr.choppers | ✎  00:34, 16 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I also disagree as the new makes started at a year model. There is no reason not to have seperate pages, one for historical vehicals which are not renamed, and are properly refered to as Dodge Trucks; and one for Ram Trucks which is a new product line that only has similarities with the old brand. ~AeSix 66.86.14.225 (talk) — Preceding undated comment added 20:13, 28 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
