Banngla Link is a GSM based cellular service provider in Bangladesh managed by the Egyptian telecommunication company Orascom.

History

Bangla Link was formed by the adoption of Sheba Telecom, a local GSM cellular service provider in Bangladesh by Orascom in 1998. Orascom bought the 100% share of Sheba Telecom that resulted in complete adoption of the company.[1]

Numbering scheme

Bangla Link uses the following numbering scheme:

+88 019 N1N2N3N4N5N6N7

Where,

88 is the International subscriber dialling of Bangladesh.

(0)19 is the access code for Bangla Link as allocated by the Government of Bangladesh

N1N2N3N4N5N6N7 is the subscriber number.
