Seonkyoung Longest is a Korean born Celebrity Chef who appeared on and won the competition for Robert Irvine's Restaurant Express. Unlike her other competitors she didn't have formal Culinary Training which was both intimidating for her but impressive to the show's Judges.
As the result of winning Restaurant Express in December, 2013 she opened and became Executive Chef of Jayde Fuzion restaurant at the M Resort in Las Vegas, NV featuring a mixture of Japanese, Chinese and Korean small plates. [1]
She stars in and produces Asian at Home an Asian food show and website geared at teaching simple methods for mastering Asian Cuisine. [2]
Early Life and Career
Being interested in illustration as a child she started her career while attending High School. Working and training as a cartoonist for a famous Korean cartoonist, Lee Hyun-se she helped in the production of his publications. [3]
Her interests then moved to performance art and dance and she became a member of the Seoul Street Artist group and entered professional competitions as a professional belly dancer.
After meeting her husband Jacob Longest in Seoul, Korea and moving to the United States in 2009 Food became an escape from day to day boredom. She began watching Food Network and creating meals with her own style.
Personal life
Born and raised in South Korea where she met her future husband Jacob Longest, they were married in Las Vegas in the presence of her mother and stepfather. She has been living in U.S since March of 2009.
