Seyran Nasirov also known as Seyran Caferli was born in 1966 in Imishli, Azerbaijan. His first cartoon was printed in Kirpi comic magazine in 1982. He graduated from the Journalistic Art Institute in 1992. His cartoons were printed in many international exhibition and competition albums. Caferli was a member of the jury at the international Fair Play cartoon contest in Turkey 2001. Having been the chief editor of Karikatura magazine, he recently added to his responsibilities when he became president of the Cartoonists Union of Azerbaijan. On May 2002 he organized the first Azerbaijan Molla Nasreddin International Cartoon Contest. Among his recognitions are a special award from the Ankara Cartoon Foundation, a diploma from the 14th Dutch Cartoon Festival, and a second place finish at the Union of Engineers Cartoons Contest in Turkey.

Seyran Caferli joined WittyWorld in 2002.

Currently he is also director of CNC (Cartoon News Center) website.
