Webster University Thailand (WUT) is an American-based non-profit [2] University established in 1999[3] with an undergraduate campus located near the resort town of Hua Hin in the district of Cha-Am, and additional graduate programs located in Bangkok, Thailand. WUT is one of several international campuses associated with Webster University in St. Louis, Missouri, in the United States. The director of the campus is Ratish Thakur [4].
Undergraduate Programs
In the School of Business and Technology, Webster-Thailand currently offers undergraduate degrees in Business Administration, Management, Management with emphasis on International Business, and Management with emphasis on Marketing. In the Webster School of Communications, the Webster-Thailand campus offers undergraduate degrees in Media Communications and Advertising/Marketing. In the Webster College of Arts and Sciences, it offers undergraduate degrees in International Relations and Psychology.[5]
Graduate Programs
WUT currently offers three masters degree programs: Masters in Business Administration (MBA), Masters in International Relations (MAIR), and a Masters of Media Communications. [6]
Bangkok Center
In addition to the main campus in Cha-am, WUT also has offices and classroom facilities at the Bangkok Academic Center on the 4th Floor M Space of Empire Tower, Bangkok in Bangkok's business district Sathorn. Masters (MBA & MAIR) and selected Undergraduate programs are taught there.[7]
Accreditation & Awards
Webster University is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission, which covers the Webster Thailand campus[8]. Webster University Thailand also is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools & Programs (ACBSP)[9]. In 2013, the Webster University Thailand campus was awarded the "Prime Minister's Business Excellence Award and earned an "excellent" rating from Thailand's Office of National Education Standards and Quality Assessment[10][11].
