Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta is the Atlanta based spin-off of Love & Hip Hop.[1] It premiered June 18, 2012, on VH1 and chronicles the lives of several women who are connected to hip hop music following Joseline Hernandez, Karlie Redd, Erica Dixon, Mimi Faust, Rasheeda, and K. Michelle.[2] Traci Steele joined the cast in the second season. K. Michelle and Steele departed the series after the second season. The third season premiered on May 5, 2014, with Tammy Rivera joining the cast. On December 10, 2014, Tammy will not return for the fourth season.[3][4] VH1 has renewed the show for a fourth season with singer Nivea joining the show.[5]

The season 3 cast

Joseline Hernandez

Joseline Hernandez , a Miami native, who is proclaimed as aka "The Baddest Puta", is a Latin entertainer who was discovered by now husband, Stevie J. A former exotic dancer, Joseline is hoping to take her place on the music charts with her own brand of spicy pop, infused with sexy lyrics and evocative moves. Joseline's confidence is undeniable, and her "baddest p**a" attitude is evident in her drive. This confidence coupled with her over the top personality has led many to deem her the breakout star of Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta. With her strip club days behind her, Joseline will not be stopped until she gets to where she wants to be.

Mimi Faust

Oluremi "Mimi" Faust is the devoted mother of her and Stevie J's daughter.Torn away from her own mother at the age of 13, Mimi quickly learned to be self-reliant and enterprising. Mimi has always shown the inner spark of an entrepreneur - owning an estate and commercial cleaning service, which helped her ex Stevie throughout his lean times. With Season 3 comes change, and a new unexpected enterprise. With her current flame Nikko Smith, a performer based in Atlanta, the two have accidentally found themselves in the adult entertainment sector after a leak of their private sex tapes. Mimi must now learn to walk the uncomfortable line as mother and adult star this season. Her story is certainly revealing![6]

Erica Dixon

Erica Dixon was the longtime on again/off again girlfriend of Lil' Scrappy, and mother of his 9 year old daughter, Emani. Born in Atlanta, Georgia, Erica was raised in Hempstead, NY, by her aunt and uncle who took her in when her mother's drug addiction became a serious issue. She's the youngest girl of nine siblings, among them six brothers, who shaped her into the tough, headstrong person she is today. After a short-lived engagement to Lil' Scrappy, Erica Dixon emerges in Season 3 as her own woman - dating, and launching a fashion line, Klass 6.[7]

Karlie Redd

Karlie Redd is a Hip Hop artist, model, dancer, and aspiring actress - truly a woman who will stop at nothing to entertain! She was born in New York, but grew up on the islands of Trinidad. By the age of 16, she booked over 40 appearances as a model in print and on TV. She is a graduate of the joint AFI & Los Angeles Film School Degree Program in Directing and Producing. As a dancer, she toured with the prestigious Alvin Ailey Dance Company. Karlie is now focused on music and film. Karlie Redd is the former girlfriend of rappers Benzino and Yung Joc. Karlie's ambition and wants to help build her brand. However, their tumultuous romantic life threatens to destroy her promising career.[8]

Kirk and Rasheeda welcomed baby Karter to their home in the summer of 2013. Rasheeda is signed to her husband's label and management company, D-Lo Entertainment; a partnership that can sometimes prove challenging when trying to juggle business and family. Rasheeda rose to fame with the success of her hit single "My Bubblegum," which is her biggest record to date and was the platinum ring tone on the box office smash, Paul Blart Mall Cop. In 2010, Rasheeda won Mixtape Artist of the Year (female) at the Southern Entertainment Awards, and she was the first independent artist nominated for BET's "Female Hip Hop Artist Of The Year." She is owner of ImBossy.com, a successful online apparel and accessories company, as well as Poiz cosmetics. Rasheeda proves as a woman you can have it all - kids, family, and career.[9]

Nivea sang in a church choir and admired the music of Mariah Carey.[10] She first hit musical airwaves by appearing on Mystikal's 2000 single "Danger (Been So Long)". Her successful recordings reached the Billboard charts during the early 2000s.
