Delta Flight 1086 was a scheduled domestic passenger flight between Alanta and New York. On the 5th of March 2015, the flight, operated by a MD-88, slid off the runway upon landing at LaGuardia Airport in New York. The nose of the plane crashed through a nearby fence before coming to a halt near icy water. Fortunately, there were no fatalities caused by the accident. The cause of the crash is being investigated and ice and reduced visibility may be the leading cause.
