The American Prize is a set of annual national competitions in the performing arts which recognizes the best recorded performances in the United States.[1] The award is bestowed in professional, college/university and high school categories for composition, piano, voice, chamber music and a number of other areas.[2] The jury consists of well known performing artists in each area, with the conductor and composer David Katz serving as chief judge.[3][4][5][6][7][8]
