To-do list for San Antonio:
|
Geography
The San Antonio River is not mentioned in that section. --Jerome Potts (talk) 20:07, 16 September 2013 (UTC)
- That is odd; will rewrite this weekend unless someone beats me to it. Nice catch. Kuru (talk) 00:53, 17 September 2013 (UTC)
Politics
This article describes nothing about San Antonio politics and how the people of the area tend to lean -i.e. conservative or liberal? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 208.45.75.11 (talk) 03:51, 15 October 2013 (UTC)
General overview section of main article needs to have references added.
There are none, several possibilities are listed as supposed quotes eg., Chamber of Commerce but there is nothing inline. I'm not from the area nor have visited so I don't know where proper information can be found. Rjhawkin (talk) 01:46, 18 December 2013 (UTC)
Dubious - that June usually has higher heat index than July or August
I removed the following assertion because it doesn't appear to be correct:
- ", however with the heat index June often feels hotter than the July and August"
The average temperature in June is lower than in July or August. Plus, the average dew point in June is equal to the August average dew point and less than the average July dew point.[1] Therefore, the average heat index is June is lower. If something else was meant by "often", that should be noted, and not weasel-worded in there. Ufwuct (talk) 18:01, 27 January 2014 (UTC)
NCAA Division I Football
The University of the Incarnate Word has Division I college football, and although they did not start out as Division I, it might also be worth noting that they were the first university football team in San Antonio -before UTSA. (UIW 2009; UTSA 2011) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.54.197.61 (talk) 18:39, 9 September 2014 (UTC)
False. Trinity University has had "university football" since at least 1900 [2] and played scholarship ball prior to the mid-1970s. 2602:306:3BF6:AEA0:DEB:476D:9C5B:1E1B (talk) 03:33, 15 March 2015 (UTC)
Are mayors relevant to San Antonio history?
User Dicklyon deleted names of several mayors from the Timeline of San Antonio (here and here), claiming they lack historical signficance. I disagree; mayors are part of San Antonio's history. What do others think? Do mayors belong in the timeline of San Antonio history or not? -- M2545 (talk) 07:11, 15 December 2014 (UTC)
- I think it's a great idea to include mayors that are known for something other than being mayor San Antonio. But if the only reason they're in the list is because they were mayor, it's hard to see why anyone could consider a random subset of them to be signficant events in a timeline; they will still be in the list of mayors for people who care about the complete chronology.
