Jeannette Vivian Corbiere Lavell (born 11 June 1942) was a Canadian and Anishinaabe community worker who championed women's and children's rights. Born in 1942 in Wikwemikong, she challenged the Indian Act in 1971, the success of which "permitted reinstatement of the First Nations women and children who had lost their status".[1]
