L. Vijayalakshmi is an Indian film actress who was active during 1960s and 1970s. She was a prominent lead actress during early 1960s in Malayalam, Tamil, Kannada,Telugu ad Hindi films.[1] She has acted around 50 movies in all south Indian languages. [2]Her debut film was Marumakal in 1952, directed by S. K Chaari.
Personal life
She was born at Tirunalveli and bought up at Pune. Later her family shifted to Chennai to learn Bharatanatyam. She got married to Surjaj Kumar Datta. She currently resides at USA.[3]
