Nimbus Communications Limited is a media and entertainment company and sports broadcaster, known for its Neo Cricket and Neo Sports channels.[1] It has integrated, end-to-end media services focusing on Sports broadcasting, marketing and filmed entertainment. Headquartered in Mumbai, Nimbus was established in 1987 by Harish Thawani,[2] and has a diverse network of customers across USA, Canada, UK, Asia, Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Europe and the Middle East. In addition to India its operations are also spread across Singapore, Middle East and the Caribbean, which will shortly be extended to USA and UK.

In 2006, the company won a four-year global media rights for cricket with BCCI, at $612.18 million (Rs 2,714 crore).[3][4] In 2010, The Times of India Group acquired a small stake in Nimbus Communications [5]

Sports

Singapore headquartered Nimbus Sport International (100% subsidiary of Nimbus Communications Limited) is a full service sports marketing company specialising in television rights distribution and management, television production, sponsor services, event management, new media content and on-air advertising sales.

Broadcasting

Neo Sports Broadcast Pvt. Ltd. owns and operates two channels namely NEO Cricket - 24x7-cricket entertainment channel and NEO Sports – an all sports channel. www.neosports.tv

Nimbus New Media

Nimbus New Media came about as a logical vertical extension made by Nimbus. Nimbus New Media has started this initiative by launching cricketnirvana.com and filmnirvana.com.

Nimbus Television

The legacy business of Nimbus is television content production in Indian languages, in which it has produced over 5000 hours of programming over 15 years, including seven No 1 shows and fifteen top 10 rated shows.

Nimbus Motion Pictures

Having established its leadership in the field of cricket, Nimbus seeks to replicate the same success in filmed entertainment as well, and its vision is to be in the top three filmed entertainment players in India by 2010.

Home Entertainment

Showtime Video was a specialty retailer focused on providing Movie Rental Services - www.showtimevideo.co.in. It doesn't seem to be functional anymore, neither the website nor the phone numbers.
