Wikipedia:Requests for undeletion

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This is an old revision of this page, as edited by Carcariass (talk | contribs) at 06:28, 8 April 2015. The present address (URL) is a permanent link to this revision, which may differ significantly from the current revision.

Welcome. Please note that this page is NOT for challenging the outcome of deletion discussions or to address the pending deletion of any page.

Requests for undeletion is a process intended to assist users in restoring pages or files that were uncontroversially deleted via proposed deletion, under certain speedy deletion criteria (such as maintenance deletions or rejected Articles for creation drafts), or in "articles for deletion" debates with little or no participation other than the nominator. This page is also intended to serve as a central location to request that deleted content be userfied or emailed to you so the content can be improved upon prior to re-insertion into the mainspace, or used elsewhere (you may also make a request directly to one of the administrators listed here). This means that content deleted after discussion—at articles for deletion, categories for discussion, or miscellany for deletion among other deletion processes—may in some cases be provided to you, but such controversial page deletions will not be overturned through this process. Copyright violations and attack pages will not be provided at all.

This page is only for requesting undeletion of articles or files which have already been deleted. If the article you are concerned about is still visible, but has a warning message (template) at the top, please do not post here, but follow the instructions in the template or on your talk page.

Note that requests for undeletion is not a replacement for deletion review. If you feel an administrator has erred in closing a deletion discussion or in applying a speedy deletion criterion, please contact them directly. If you discuss but are unable to resolve the issue on their talk page, it should be raised at Wikipedia:Deletion review, rather than here.

Instructions for special cases

iNext LTD is Limited

DEAR Wikipedia Admins you should undelete iNext, LTD caus not only is this my First page but iNex LTS is a bramd new company "Save page" button below -Techinfosource (talk) 01:24, 25 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Note: The page isn't deleted, therefore there's no reason to undelete it. Please follow the instructions on the deletion tag in order to contest (if a speedy deletion or prod/stickyprod) or argue against (if a deletion debate) deletion. A7 speedy deletions will not be restored here; please see WP:Notability (organizations and companies). —Jeremy v^_^v Bori! 01:32, 25 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@Techinfosource: Not done – this article has not been restored because it does not appear to meet our guidelines for inclusion of articles about companies. In general, Wikipedia considers a topic to be notable if there exist multiple reliable sources of information on the topic, external to the subject itself. Articles concerning companies will be deleted on sight if they are considered to be unambiguous advertising or promotion, or if they do not contain a credible assertion of the significance of the subject.
Since this is a brand new company, it is unlikely that there is yet enough independent comment about it to make an article. Wikipedia is not here to help announce "up and coming" companies. If you are connected with the company, please read the guideline Wikipedia:Conflict of interest, JohnCD (talk) 12:29, 25 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • @87.198.40.172:. It is unclear what you are requesting here. Kate O'Brien already exists and Draft:Kate O'Brien never existed. Your IP has never made an edit before. If an article you created or edited was deleted, but please the username of the account you edited under, the IP that made the edit if it was not logged in, or the exact article title so that we can find the article in question. --ThaddeusB (talk) 14:44, 25 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Klasjet

Hello, i wrote a page about company Klasjet, I did it for the first time , so I was using another wikipedia's page as an example and accidentally pasted this tag {{advert}} from another page. Maybe this is a reason that my page is in articles for deletion process. I want to apologise for this. -MonMic (talk) 14:42, 25 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

My user account seems to no longer be active, although it isn't showing up in the deletion log. I'd like it back please! -86.181.49.158 (talk) 16:03, 25 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Accounts actually cannot be deleted – not only is there no means to do so in the MediaWiki software, but we legally need to maintain a list of all contributors to a page. Unless you have set an email address, you won't be able to change your password and admins will not be able to do so for you. —Jeremy v^_^v Bori! 17:51, 25 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@86.181.49.158: If you can't remember/retrieve the password for your old account, you are of course welcome to create a new one. --ThaddeusB (talk) 18:04, 25 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, WikiDan, there is a deletion record for "Bazaar Cart"; it was deleted twice yesterday as a G11. —Jeremy v^_^v Bori! 17:53, 25 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I understand that. But there is no undeletion needed here, as the article has already been recreated. Should it survive its current deletion nomination (unlikely) it can just be moved to the proper title. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 18:17, 25 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

A few userfy requests

Please userfy both article and talk pages. These are top 100 websites. The last one is a copyvio i'll take care of it or send page blanked. Valoem talk contrib 22:34, 25 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • Not done For the XNXX pages, there is literally nothing remotely useful in the history. The various creations were all either "I like this website" or "This is a bad website, don't visit it". I removed the page protection so you can create a new article, but there is nothing to restore.
For the Guangming Daily page, what were you hoping to gain by its restoration? As noted, it was a pure copyright violation and the source still works, so if you want to see the text just go to the source linked in the deletion notice. (A few words were changed by later editors, but it would be far better to start from scratch). Again, feel free to start a new article/draft article on the subject, but I don't see any reason to restore the old version (and a speedy deletion is not a hinderance to a fresh creation.) --ThaddeusB (talk) 23:03, 25 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@ThaddeusB: To answer you question, I believe in the full history being intact when an article is restored. I also look at categories and structure to rewrite the article so no copy vio occurs which is why I also request the talk. Valoem talk contrib 04:21, 27 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@Valeom:, when possible we don't leave copyright violations, even in the article history. I have pasted the infobox & categories to User:Valoem/Guangming Daily (China). Neither meets the definition of creative output, so neither carries any copyright that requires attribution. --ThaddeusB (talk) 20:04, 27 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Minzy

Minzy is a South Korean singer who has been active for 6 years. There is no reason for her article to be deleted. Although she has no solo work so far, her contributions to her group 2NE1 are significant. She is the main dancer of the group and one of the best dancers in her company YG Entertainment. -Shovelqueen (talk) 03:53, 26 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • Not done – this Requests for Undeletion process is only for articles that were deleted uncontroversially, and does not apply to articles deleted after a deletion discussion. Since the article you are here about was deleted after a discussion took place at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Minzy, it cannot be undeleted through this process. However, if you believe that the outcome of the discussion did not reflect the consensus of the participants, or that significant new information has come to light since the article was deleted, you may contact the administrator who closed the discussion, user Natg 19 (talk · contribs). After you do so, if your concerns are not addressed and you still seek undeletion, a request may be made at deletion review. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 04:09, 26 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I have only just put the page up, and had not had a chance to edit it further when someone deleted it. Similar pages are in existence, so I find this unannounced deletion not very fair at all. Thank you.

The Naughty Badger (talk) 19:31, 27 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • Not done – For a subject to have an article on Wikipedia, it must meet our inclusion criteria. In short, this means the subject must be covered in depth by reliable sources. I see no evidence that RogB Pickups has met the criteria, so restoring the article as a draft would just waste your time as it would surely be deleted later anyway. If I am mistaken and reliable source coverage exists, please reply with links to such sources. --ThaddeusB (talk) 20:30, 27 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Please undelete all the New Zealand stub type redirects. They are impossible to find now. Also undelete all the ones I don't know about but of this form -- 65.94.43.89 (talk) 04:34, 28 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

If possible, undelete all the stub-type redirects that were deleted at around this time (November 2014) since I can't see how any of it is uncontroversial or just housekeeping. It just makes stub types impossible to use. -- 65.94.43.89 (talk) 04:37, 28 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
DoneThese were created by moves in September 2007. Are you still trying to use these names? They are now called Template:NewZealand-stub, Template:NewZealand-bio-stub and Template:NewZealand-geo-stub. They got this way after this discussion Wikipedia:Stub types for deletion/Log/2007/September#A group of redirect reversals, The conclusion here was to reverse redirects with a fairly clear statement not to delete. So I think I will restore. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 06:02, 28 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Others include (from https://en.wikipedia.org/enwiki/w/index.php?title=Special:Log&offset=20141026143436&type=delete&user=Wizardman&page=&tagfilter= etc)
Present your case against each of these.Graeme Bartlett (talk) 06:24, 28 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I agree that these look like improper deletions. Redirects are cheap and certainly ones that have existed since 2008 (on average) should not be unilaterally deleted by an admin. One would think an admin of Wizardman's experience would know better. --ThaddeusB (talk) 17:45, 28 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@Wizardman: seems to have mass deleted another set of redirects 26 October 2014 that @Nyttend: restored that Wizardman deleted again. (If I'm extrapolating from the history of {{NJ-school-stub}} correctly) -- 65.94.43.89 (talk) 03:34, 29 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Very simply, stub types should be accessible to editors, so that they can be accessed and found, same as any other redirect use. Redirects make finding that stub types exist much easier, since one would expect the standard abbreviations to be available such as "NZ" or "NJ", since stub-type template names do not follow standard grammar rules. Thus all the UAE, NJ and NZ redirects should be restored ; consider that {{US-bio-stub}} exists and {{UK-stub}} so one would expect at the very least the country of New Zealand should be available.-- 65.94.43.89 (talk) 03:34, 29 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • I have restored all of these, excluding talk pages, and many others [1] deleted by Wizardman out of process. He was given ample time to reply here or his talk page and chose not to reply. I could have taken this to deletion review, but prefer to be BOLD and also not create unnecessary drama. --ThaddeusB (talk) 19:38, 6 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Well, RHaworth did error in doing a G4 (recreation) deletion as the previous AfD ended early as a G12 (copyright violation) deletion. It happens – we all make mistakes sometimes. (He could have probably speedy deleted under another criteria, but not G4). On that basis you could kindly ask him to restore or userify, or you could pursue deletion review. Please note, I am a disabled Wikipedia contributor and donor to Wikipedia. Sometimes it takes me longer to finish a project than I would like, but I know your needs for quality and third-party documentation.

Thank you,

Undeletion of Shekhar Chatterjee

We have many more resources that prove the notability of the article. As per AFD, the article was considered non-notable only because the article was published in City Section of Times of India and not National Section. But now I have many resources that relate the article the article to national news coverages and hence decide it's notability. -182.237.12.10 (talk) 13:40, 30 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Not done – this Requests for Undeletion process is only for articles that were deleted uncontroversially, and does not apply to articles deleted after a deletion discussion. Since the article you are here about was deleted after a discussion took place at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Shekhar Chatterjee, it cannot be undeleted through this process. However, if you believe that the outcome of the discussion did not reflect the consensus of the participants, or that significant new information has come to light since the article was deleted, you may contact the administrator who closed the discussion, user J04n (talk · contribs). After you do so, if your concerns are not addressed and you still seek undeletion, a request may be made at deletion review. JohnCD (talk) 13:47, 30 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Talent Agent.

Not done First of all, if you are the subject's talent agent you shouldn't be writing an article about him. See WP:COI. Second, the article was deleting under G11 – unambiguous promotion. This is not a judgement on the importance of the subject, but rather a judgement on the quality of the writing. This is what tends to happen when people with a conflict of interest write an article – they are unable to be neutral (which is required of all Wikipedia articles) and the article is deleted on those grounds.
If you insist on trying again, please do so by using the article for creation process so that the article can be review for neutrality before it hits mainspace. If the article remains non-neutral, it will be declined with advice on how to fix it instead of being deleted outright. --ThaddeusB (talk) 15:35, 30 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • This also looks like it was deleted per WP:G11, as the content was extremely promotional in tone. When writing articles, avoid WP:PEACOCK terms and writing things like "we" and "our". Wikipedia is not like WP:NOTLINKEDIN and other websites where you can create listings that you control. Wikipedia articles must be neutrally written and show notability by way of multiple independent and reliable sources. This article is a good start, but you would need more to show notability since notability is WP:NOTINHERITED by being associated with notable persons, companies, or subjects. I would personally recommend that you create a draft article at WP:AfC and work on a new article from scratch, since it's extremely unlikely that any of the content will be restored. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 05:03, 31 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Yep. I would add that if an editor can't recognize that content and especially tone were promotional and unencyclopedic they should probably gain more experience in reading and writing. Drmies (talk) 13:54, 31 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Edith von Welser-Ude

I suggest that this page be undeleted because:

The article is about a German public figure, a photographer and the "first lady" of Munich for over a decade when Christian Ude was the mayor. You can find more information here (in German): http://welser-ude-foto.de/aktuelles.htm http://www.sueddeutsche.de/bayern/edith-von-welser-ude-liebling-der-genossen-1.1580301 http://www.galerie-der-kulturen.de/html/kuenstler_welser-ude.html http://www.sueddeutsche.de/muenchen/edith-von-welser-ude-wird-wir-sind-oberbuergermeister-1.363825 http://www.muenchen.tv/mediathek/tag/edith-von-welser-ude/ http://www.hangzhou.gov.cn/main/zpd/English/Gallery/foreigners/T197671.shtml

Yes, the article could use more details, and I will add some. --Piotr (Venezuela) (talk) 05:39, 31 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • @Piotr (Venezuela): I'd probably recommend that you work on a copy in your userspace at User:Piotr (Venezuela)/Edith von Welser-Ude before adding anything to the mainspace, mostly because sometimes it can take a while to really flesh out and source an article. Also, while Peridon is somewhat easygoing with article restorations, the article consisted of the lines "Edith von Welser-Ude is a German socialite. She has been married to former Mayor of Munich Christian Ude since 1984." It's not really enough to really restore. Finally, I will warn you that being married to a notable person does not always mean that this notability is inherited- it's quite common for spouses of mayors (and many notable persons) to fail notability criteria. What you need to show in the article are sources that specifically focus on her as opposed to just mentioning her briefly in relation to her husband. Some mention of her husband is expected and sources like this are good, but you need for there to be a lot of sources that really go beyond her status as "wife of mayor". Also be very careful about guest spots on shows and the like since sometimes those are not the type that would give notability, as seems to somewhat be the case with this link, which appears to be a recipe. What you need are appearances where they really go into depth about her work as a whole. Showings in galleries are good since those can raise the chances of her gaining coverage, but having a show doesn't necessarily give notability unless she was part of an exhibit in a notable museum and/or part of their permanent collection. I believe that A11 deletions cannot be contested here, and even if they could, Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Northern Wrestling Federation (2nd nomination) seems to preclude this request anyways, as pages deleted after a deletion debate cannot be restored here, and the consensus was that the championship pages were likewise to be deleted. —Jeremy v^_^v Bori! 20:33, 31 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Not done I think A11's could be challenged here if they were incorrect, but the first approach should be to the deleting admin. It was deleted because it had lain fallow (i.e. there had been no non-automated edits done to it) for six months. —Jeremy v^_^v Bori! 03:02, 1 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Done I've restored it and moved it to Draft:Westside Test Anxiety Scale, the correct location for AfC drafts. DrD001, please leave this article in the draftspace. It's a lot easier to track the articles this way and it's confusing to move them around too much- especially since moving them around can sometimes end up with them getting placed in the wrong location, which is what happened here. (You placed this on a userpage, by which I mean that you made it seem as if there was a user by the name of "Westside Test Anxiety Scale".) I'm a little surprised that the declining editor didn't notice that the other draftcopy was just a redirect to the copy they declined, but that's kind of why Wikipedia tends to prefer that AfC articles remain in one easily identifiable location. In any case, the article is now back in the draftspace and you can work on it. One thing I can recommend is that you will need to use in-line citations, preferably ones that we can link to and verify in some form or fashion. Google Scholar and Google Books can sometimes offer previews, so that tends to be a good place to start. A lot of academic outlets and databases like JSTOR have preview pages, which can also be used to verify the content if another editor has access to an institution that offers database access. The AfD was way back in 2011, so there is a decent chance notability has been established since then. Describeme4u - The page was deleted because there was no indication of how Chaudhry meets our inclusion criteria. In short, we only have articles on subjects which have been covered by multiple reliable sources in detail. In part, this is for a subject's own protection – if we allowed anyone to write about any subject we would have no way to know if something written was a lie or not. In other words, malicious people could make up lies about people they don't like and publish it here for the world to see... If you look over the inclusion criteria and think Chaudhry meets them, I can restore the article to draft space for you. REDCODE

Hello. REDCODE is the (proprietary) file format used by all models of one of the top-three, cinema-grade, digital motion picture camera manufacturers, the RED Digital Cinema Camera. The article describes the file format and, as far as I now, it is the only web page on the Internet trying to address that; that is a reason why it may be target of wikilinks. Take a look at the manufacturer's page to see how many movies and TV Series have been shot with RED cameras: http://www.red.com/shot-on-red Since this is a proprietary file format, yet it has very original metadata scheme, there are no sites describing it while this should be present in any technology-drive encyclopedia. As a matter of fact, I created or edited several articles describing other file formats, and they are all successful. I have also been thinking of adding more articles on other raw camera file formats' internals but, since I have too a full-time job in the business, I can never find the time. I apologize for not replying earlier (than [REDCODE]'s deletiaon), but this is understandably my main justification: lack of professional time. Thanks for your precious time reading. -Walter.Arrighetti (talk) 00:29, 3 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • @Walter.Arrighetti:, I don't have a huge issue with restoring it but I am somewhat concerned with the statement "there are no sites describing it while this should be present in any technology-drive encyclopedia". The issue with this statement is that you're essentially saying that this does not have any coverage in reliable sources, or at least this is how I am interpreting this statement. Regardless of how often something is used, if the coverage does not exist to show that the topic (in this case a file format) passes notability guidelines then it really can't be on Wikipedia. Even if you or I think that something should be in Wikipedia, if it doesn't pass notability guidelines then we really can't include it until the coverage surfaces or until guidelines are changed to allow for it to be included. On first glance many of the sources in the article appear to be WP:PRIMARY, meaning that they cannot show notability and can only be used to back up basic information. I'd be a little more comfortable with this going to your userspace and you working on it until the coverage becomes available if you'd be OK with that, since if I restore it to mainspace it'd be very likely that Be..anyone could/would nominate it for AfD. Note: This page has been deleted multiple times as an abandoned draft article. As Articles for creation, the Draft space, and user subpages are not to be used to indefinitely host material inappropriate for the encyclopedia, what exactly would you do to help make the draft get accepted as an article? —Jeremy v^_^v Bori! 18:19, 3 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
That's not a reasonable question to ask, Jeremy. To say how they're planning to develop the draft, the IP user would have to be able to view the draft, which they very obviously are not at the moment. Without that, all they can say is some generic stuff like "add info and refs" that would be as unhelpful as your above note. An editor expressed their interest in working on an abandoned draft so let's restore the draft and see what happens, it's not like we have anything to lose. 181.167.52.241 (talk) 13:01, 4 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Nicholas E. Alahverdian

This page was deleted without meeting G4 criteria. It does not contain "substantially identical content to that of an article deleted after debate" and changes in the content "address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted," In regards to notability, If a topic has received significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject, it is presumed to be suitable for a stand-alone article or list. (from WP:NOTABILITY). In practice, sustained news coverage of an individual pretty much guarantees notability. There are tons of sources, over 30 from major news orgs. The content is significantly different from what was deleted at AFD, making it ineligible for G4. Stuff has happened since it was deleted in April 2014 and obviously couldnt be included in that article because it was in the future. Sources about the subject are from The Boston Globe, The Providence Journal, Associated Press, Brown University student newspaper, The New Haven Register, NBC news, CBS news affiliates, Politifact, ProPublica, the Omaha world herald, WPRO, WPRI, WJAR and others. Appears to meet GNG since the "topic has received significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject" and it is "suitable for a stand-alone article" (see WP:Notability). Perhaps a solution would be to reverse the delete and let the community decide. EricJ1074 (talk) 18:48, 4 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Not done. It looks to me like the sources are primarily from pre-2013, which are largely what the previuosly-deleted version were relying on. It has an appearance of extensive sourcing, but most of the sources are repeated several times. As such, I don't see that it addresses the concerns in both AFDs, the first being Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Nicholas Alahverdian, therefore G4 may still apply. I suggest you talk to the deleting administrator Anthony Bradbury and ask him to reconsider deletion, or at least restore it to Draft space for further improvement. ~Amatulić (talk) 21:16, 4 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi DESTINYBOB. It may be possible for a reliably sourced article to be written demonstrating that Taoufiki is notable and having verifiable content, though a quick look did not reveal many sources to me. Reliable, secondary sources that are independent of him in French would be acceptable (I found this but little else, and that appears to be a "mere mention" of him, rather than substantive content talking about him in detail). In any event, any article would have to be written from a neutral point of view, and the content you posted read like you were involved with this subject, with a stake in using Wikipedia as an advertizing platform to promote him. I deleted the article mostly on that basis, as "blatant advertizing" under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion. This does not mean you could not re-post a proper and neutrally-written article, but I suspect that is not possible at this point in his career. By the way, this page is for seeking undeletion of content already deleted. The page was not deleted when you posted here, and actually drew my attention to it. Cascadia Composers

Not done Hello Musicwriter. This page cannot be undeleted as it blatantly infringed on the copyright of those owning the content at this page. Unless you wrote that material at that external site, it was also plagiarism as it presented it as if your own writing. If you are the owner of the text, we could only use it if you or someone else with ownership over the copyright released it to the world under a compatible free copyright license (or into the public domain and did that release in a verifiable way); we could not use it simply with permission for use here. Although some of this material was not suitable in the first place to be in an encyclopedia article, if applicable, some of the the methods for providing a copyright release/freely-licensing are given at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. --Musicwriter 2014 (talk) 04:11, 6 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Fuhghettaboutit,

I don't know if this is where I respond to your comments. I am the author of the page you mentioned above. I am a member of Cascadia Composers, and I am the chairperson of the Historian committee; I have one other person on that committee. The board of Cascadia asked me to compile our history and post it onto our website and in Wikipedia. The said committee of myself and one other person compiled the information in the article after interviewing all the people mentioned in the article and I wrote the article and submitted the article to Wikipedia. I have not infringed on any copyright laws or plagerized any material. I also gave permission for the article to be printed on the Cascadia Composer website.

Please tell me how to proceed. Cascadia Composer would sincerely like to have this article, which is the history of our organization, on Wilkipedia. After my initial submission, the article was returned to me for editing; I edited it immediately, resubmitted it, and awaited the outcome. In January, 2015 I received notification that "6 months have elapsed and because I had not edited the article, it would be deleted." I had, in fact, edited and submitted the article with the changes recommended afte rmy first draft.

I had virtually given up on this project; however the Cascadia Composers board wanted me to pursue it again to try to get the article on Wikipedia.

I have no expertise in technical writing, but I followed all instructions very closely. I repeat: I have not plagiarized this article. I am the author of the article. In my frustration with trying to follow the technical aspects of proceeding with this project, I asked a Cascadia Composers board member to help. I sent him the article in its entirety, and he is to try to proceed with the project.

Please tell me how to proceed.

Musicwriter 2014

Hi again Musicwriter. You can't retain non-free copyright (i.e., state "© 2015 Cascadia Composers" at the external site; a claim of non-free copyright ownership) but also post that same content here, because we require additions here to be irrevocably freely-licensed to the world for reuse under our free licenses. To fix this, make a change at the external site. Replace that copyright notice at the bottom with the following:
The text of this page is available for modification and reuse under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-Sharealike 3.0 Unported License and the GNU Free Documentation License (unversioned, with no invariant sections, front-cover texts, or back-cover texts).
If you do that then there's no problem with undeleting the article (drop a note here saying it's done). Alternatively, you can:
  1. Send an email from the domain name of the website (thus presenting a form of verification that the email is from a person with authority over the source of the content) –
  2. To permissions-en@wikimedia.org, containing a copyright release following the form at Wikipedia:Declaration of consent for all enquiries;
  3. After sending the email, create Draft talk:Cascadia Composers with this content: {{OTRS pending}} and I'd also recommend referencing this discussion there.
An OTRS volunteer will then reply to your email, indicating whether the content and the license is acceptable and should either undelete the page, or if they are not an administrator, will ask one to undelete it (they sometimes make such requests here).
Obviously this alternative option is more involved and less within your control. Of course, that will only take care of the copyright issue allowing undeletion without a problem, but it does not mean the article will be accepted. I can and am willing to help trying to make the article more acceptable for publication once undeleted. That issue always resolves ultimately on whether there are sufficient reliable, secondary sources, entirely independent of the topic, that have written about it substantively (such as books published by major publishing houses, newspapers, magazines, peer-reviewed scholarly journals and websites that meet the same requirements as reputable print-based sources), thus demonstrating notability and allowing a verifiable article to be written. If those source don't exist then it's all for naught. Best regards--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 04:50, 6 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • @Musicwriter 2014: You may want to just re-write the article somewhat anyway, since it does have some sections that come across as slightly promotional. That's kind of the difficulty with taking material "as is" from another website. In most cases the material in question was written to promote its topic (in this case Cascadia Composers) so it will contain WP:PEACOCK terms and buzzwords that are meant to portray the topic in a flattering light. This isn't as bad as some of the others but it does have some phrases like "grown rapidly" and the last paragraph in the article would have to be removed entirely since it contains sentences like "diverse group of women composers that span several generations and honors their differences in compositional style and philosophies". While it doesn't immediately seem like it, it's actually somewhat easier to just re-write things than to file a ticket since it's easier to re-write and get rid of the promotional tones than it is to try to pick out the various terms without chopping up the sentences too much. I also have to say that articles that have content taken "as is" from other places are under almost continual scrutiny from other editors and in the end are almost always re-written. I remember one case (can't remember the article's name) where there was an article about an artist whose management team gave us permission to use content from their website. The content was very neutrally written and I got the impression that they'd always intended it to be placed on Wikipedia, but the content was always under scrutiny and the page was always being accused of being promotional because it had material taken from another website. Eventually a few of us just went through and did a massive re-write because we were tired of the page getting tagged and having to continually explain that it wasn't promotional. Yes I agree, and should have mentioned that there is no impediment to you creating the draft again right now, so long as you don't use this copyrighted material. What you should be doing is gathering together reliable sources you can use, like this, and using what they say to guide your writing hand (in your own words), while citing such sources. You should probably do that anyway, since your use of "our" suggests that you are connected with the company, so you should read Wikipedia:Conflict of interest and the Wikipedia:Plain and simple conflict of interest guide. Draft:Young Drivers of Canada

I, TeeMarek, request the undeletion of this Articles for creation submission deleted under CSD G13. Please restore the page as I intend to work on it. TeeMarek (talk) 20:54, 6 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The page was to be modified by another user which did not occur. I would like to correct it and publish it. I apologize for the confusion and lack of response. Regards, Tee Marek and then click the "Save page" button below -TeeMarek (talk) 20:57, 6 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@TeeMarek: Done - as an Articles for creation submission deleted under CSD G13, the page has been restored on request. Please edit the page to address the issues raised when it was declined, and re-submit it; "Articles for creation" is not for the indefinite hosting of material found to be unsuitable for inclusion in the encyclopedia. What is needed is references showing "significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject" to establish WP:Notability. JohnCD (talk) 21:25, 6 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Association Internationale de la Presse Sportive

This page should not be speedy deleted as an unambiguous copyright infringement, because that's very formal approach from the User:Jbhunley. There is only one sentence was copied from the AIPS web http://www.aipsmedia.com/images/STAT_ENG.pdf

And this copy is important to clear explanation of the AIPS Goals. And that's all! Thq Rule G12 is no so important here, but more important exact explanation of AIPS Goals.

So you are needn't to speed with the "speed deleting", dear Jbhunley (and next so formal Davewild)! And I didn't finished improvements of the Article. It needs in more citation, more links.

You could help us (me and International Journalists Commutity) to improve the Article, for example, in Criteria correction etc.

And you can help to improve it too. There is very easy to delete everything, but it's no easy to improve importance.Vlmvv (talk) 22:00, 6 April 2015 (UTC) -Vlmvv (talk) 22:00, 6 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Note: This page was deleted under speedy deletion criterion G12, which indicates a page copied and pasted wholesale from another source, or otherwise closely paraphrased from same. G12 deletions will not be overturned here or anywhere else. We absolutely cannot accept copy-pasted material, even if it is just one sentence. NOTE TO ADMINS: The blue link is essentially a protest against the page's prior deletion and should not prejudice this or future requests. —Jeremy v^_^v Bori! 22:28, 6 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Not done Hey Vlmvv. You're correct that the copied and pasted content that was in the Membership and Goals section was only one sentence – except that it was taken wholesale from a list of ten separate points that were combined into one sentence and was 197 words long. It's great that you had cited that passage to its source, and many people are simply unaware of the requirements to comply with copyright and avoid plagiarism. For future reference, you can use quotations under an implicit claim of fair use, so long as the quote is relatively short, but you must place that content in quotation marks to avoid plagiarism. The problem here is that even if we undeleted and placed quotes around it, it would be too long to sustain fair use and could not remain. Moreover, as far as I can tell, all of the remaining content of the article was also copied and pasted, from here so it really was a copyright violation from stem to stern and so it cannot be undeleted. There is nothing stopping you from re-posting an article on this topic, but this time writing it in your own words. Best regards--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 23:27, 6 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Fuhghettaboutit! Thank you for the wide explanation of the Wiki underwater cobblestones. But I am scientist and my affiliation is only with God, may be, or Truth.... In so way what is the idea of plagiarism? See more carefully the Goals of Wiki! And you never would talk about so terrible thing!.. With me, anyway.... I have cited the Article correctly and my mistake was only in the forgotten quotes marking of the one sentence from the Net. And I think that's impossible to delete so quickly the results of the work instead of try to improve simple mistake! Don't you think so, do you?Vlmvv (talk) 12:40, 7 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi again Vlmvv. I do not. As I said, it wasn't just the "one sentence" (which was actually ten separate points in the original that were combined by you into one sentence with semi-colons) but the rest of the content. AFAICT all of it was also copied from another source, from here, as I stated above. So, it does not appear that you wrote anything yourself but rather copied and pasted the entire article from copyrighted, previously written material and presented that as your own work. This is basically the definition of plagiarism, and is blatant copyright infringement. The fact that you did not understand you were doing anything wrong, did not have bad intent, is a good thing but does nothing to help the cause of undeletion. That is not going to happen. Best regards--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 12:55, 7 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Dear Fuhghettaboutit, thanks for the link, I see it firstly and will use in future [6]. SincerelyVlmvv (talk) 13:49, 7 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Vlmvv: I understand English is not your first language, so I hope we we are not misunderstanding one another. Your response above seems to indicate something you may not have intended. Let me just go back to some basics, and if you understand this already, no harm done.
  • Any content you copy and paste from anywhere must not only be cited (as you've been doing), but be placed in quotation marks ("...") to show it is someone else's writing.
  • You can only use a relatively short-in-length quotation from any particular source to meet the fair use exception to copyright protection.
  • Even if you only use short quotations from disparate sources, an article cannot be made up of mostly quotations of copyrighted sources.
  • What you should be doing is writing the article in your own words. The sources you cite indicate the information may be verified by that source, but not the exact words used (and be aware that minor surface modification is insufficient to avoid a copyright problem).
  • If you write in your own words, and cite reliable sources, but your English is not so good, the prose can be fixed by others.
Best regards--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 14:04, 7 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I, 63.147.10.3, request the undeletion of this Articles for creation submission deleted under CSD G13. Please restore the page as I intend to work on it. 63.147.10.3 (talk) 22:12, 6 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Note: This page was deleted under speedy deletion criterion G11, indicating an page that was irredeemably promotional or blatant advertising. Note that G11 deletions are more an issue with the tone of the page as opposed to its sources or formatting. As articles deleted under G11 need to be rewritten from scratch, they will not be undeleted here or anywhere else; try contacting the deleting administrator (Jimfbleak (talk · contribs)) in order to be emailed a copy of the article as it stood at time of deletion. While a G13 can normally be restored, G11s will not be restored here. —Jeremy v^_^v Bori! 22:30, 6 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@Rae4sunshine: To clarify, the problem with the article wasn't the number of references, but rather the tone of the article. that is, it was written in such a way that it appeared to promote the company rather than being a neutral, encyclopedic article. • @ARKAM HYATT: It looks like this was deleted because you were using your userpage as a blog or personal website. Userpages should really only contain content as it applies to you editing on Wikipedia and isn't a userpage akin to how you can create pages on social media sites and blogs. The content also looked like it was original research on your part, which also isn't allowed on Wikipedia. (WP:NOTWEBHOST, WP:OR) Now don't feel bad about this- it's actually a pretty common mistake that people make on Wikipedia. We can e-mail you the content for you to post on your own blog or website, but it really can't be posted on Wikipedia. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 06:20, 8 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
