  • Redirect created. Digne-les-Bains (commune) → Digne-les-Bains. Digne-les-Bains (commune) → Digne-les-Bains. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia! Rcsprinter123 (address) @ 11:11, 3 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Declined. Commune of Digne-les-Bains → Digne-les-Bains: The title you suggested seems unlikely. Could you provide a source showing that it is a commonly used alternate name?. • Comment: Why do you find "Commune of Digne-les-Bains" unlikely? It is a commune called "Digne-les-Bains", so would have a normal English formulation thusly. (Not to mention things like "City of Los Angeles" etc in the rest of the world) -- 65.94.43.89 (talk) 15:17, 3 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Comment: This Geographic Gazeteer uses "Commune of Digne-les-Bains" [1] and the French language equivalent "Commune de Digne-les-Bains" shows up [2] as the legal name -- 65.94.43.89 (talk) 15:16, 3 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Target of redirect: Canton of Digne-les-Bains-Ouest

  • Target of redirect: Kīla (Buddhism)
  • Reason: A kīla (like the ones in Buddhism) is called a कील in Sanskrit Devanagari, a ཕུར་བ in Tibetan, and a phur ba using the Wylie system of transliteration. Another transliteration is phurbu.

  • Target of redirect: Saga Castle
  • Reason: The Saga Castle is called the 佐賀城 or the Saga-jō (can also be written without the line above the O) in Japanese. It's also known as the Submerged Castle, which is 沈み城 or Shizumi-jō (can also be written without the line above the O) in Japanese. Another reason I'm requesting these is because there is also a hole in Pikmin 2 called the Submerged Castle.

Redirect request: Calice again

  • Target of redirect: Calais
  • Reason: Older spelling, Template:R from alternative name
  • Source (if applicable): An older version of Shakespeare, has the following lines: "And then behold the wretched Prince of Wales,/Hoop'd with a band of iron round about./After which sight to Calice spur amain,/And say, the prince was smother'd and not slain:" The author of this edition says that Calice is a variant of Calais. The other thing I linked says "the State of England lay now most afflicated, imbroiled...the Treasure exhausted; Calice and the Country of Oye, with great Provision for the Wars, lost, to the great Dishonour of the English Nation", and the author of this edition puts [Calais] after Calice. Also, the editor of the Works of John Knox has an index entry for "Calice, (Calais)". This was declined by Rcsprinter123 up above with a claim that I hadn't provided sources, when I gave two of these three sources. I objected on his talk page, and he made a spurious objection, "I don't believe that any reader would search for "Calice" if they wanted to find the article for "Calais". What about those of us who are trying to find out what "Calice" is? Nobody would use POCCNR when trying to find Russia, but it exists so that someone can discover what "POCCNR" or "Россия" means. I read about "Calice" and came here to find where it was. No page existed, so I searched Google for a while before I found an explanation. If Calice had already been a redirect to Calais, I wouldn't have had to look elsewhere.
