This article has a number of problems. The description of the battle with Semmes makes a few silly statements and leaves out much info included elsewhere, even here on Wiki. Sloppy and ignorant. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.233.81.187 (talk) 03:57, 19 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Pacific Fleet > Squadron

In the "Later career" section, I changed the reference to Winslow as commander of the "Pacific Fleet" to saying that he was commander of the "Pacific Squadron." According to the history section on the U.S. Pacific Fleet's official website, http://www.cpf.navy.mil/history.htm, the Pacific Fleet was not created until 1907, out of the Pacific Squadron and the Asiatic Fleet (previously the Asiatic Squadron).
